Wanted to share my project. I am 43 and have wanted a Maverick since I was 16 when I got to take my dads Maverick dragcar down thd track. I have had many other Ford cars and dragcars but never a Mav. I found a rust free 70 model and have started on it. Heres what Ive got or done so far. I have all Calvert rear suspension and an Explorer rear, complete AJE front tubular front with coilovers, My 5.4 DOHC is at the machine shop and it will be fed by a turbo. I cant wait to get it finished.

Welcome and congrats on finally getting a Maverick!
I too caught the MAV bug at an early age from my dad's drag Maverick.

I will post pics as I goalong with the build. So heres a pic of the car when I first brought home. Also the motor going in it is a 5.4 DOHC out of a Navigator for $300. Ive ported the heads and they are at the machine shop along with the rest of the motor. The front suspension is from AJE comes with motor mounts to bolt the Modular motor in.

Also have picked up some 99 Cobra cams and micro polished them, some 03 Cobra manifolds and a Coyote intake and ported them as well. Planning on putting at least a 80mm turbo on this combo and seeing if I can build a Mod motor for a reasonable amount at the same time.

VERY cool! :Welcome: from Atlantic Canada!! When you cut enough of the show towers out to fit both the AJE and 32V motor in there, how much clearance will you have?

AJE assured me that I could do it. So I taking their word. It will probably tight but atleast the spark plugs are up top. Haha
