I put 2" drop spindles on mine after the rack-N-pinion swap. mine also sat too high in the front.

    this is it now...

if the geometry of the drop spindles is the same as the stock spindles then the only change will be a reduction in the caster from the front of the car lowering down with the drop spindles.

why not try the Shelby drop, it will net you close to 1" probably closer to 3/4". What spindles are you looking into getting?

Frank, thanks for the picture. That is about how mine set before, so 2" is NOT too low.

Here's a pic of mine with standard spindles and the car raised UP as high as possible. The tires are M&H ROD-02 front runners (26" x 6.7"). I'd hate to think were it would be with dropped spindles...

Mine is about the same place as the blue one, maybe a touch higher. If I am level with the top of the wheel I can see into the engine bay.

Took a closer look today, and my caster is so far forward that it is pushing that left tire into the fender. Easy fix.

Bought the 2" drop spindles today, so might wait and mess with it when I get it all in from Summit.

Here is pic of the distance between fender and wheel with the alignment put back where I had it.

About the same as on the other side.

That looks a lot better. Maybe u did'nt have it tight on initial setup. Was watching one of those car shows recently and noticed, they put a grease pencil mark on each bolt as it was torqued. I will adapt that to my future endeavors. Have u drove it w/ this correction?

What kind of space do you have at the back of the wheel/tire to fender?

Haven't driven it yet, but plenty of space at the back.
