347 is just a bored and stroked 302. Same block. Possible you're thinking of a 351, which is bigger then a 302.

Exactly. And exactly what I'm currently doing. Front 5 lug disc brake swap. Rear end swap with a 3.50 gear. Rebuilt trans with shift kit. :cool:...
Probably a '70 Maverick with a 5.4 supercharged Cobra motor. Full modern suspension, a/c and heat. And just daily drive the hell out of it.
