We've been trying to get the passenger side in and they wont go in at all. Any tips to make these work? If you jack the engine up to fit them in...

347 is just a bored and stroked 302. Same block. Possible you're thinking of a 351, which is bigger then a 302.
Oops :16suspect Meant 3.50 it was between that and the 3.90. Ended up going with the 3.50
Exactly. And exactly what I'm currently doing. Front 5 lug disc brake swap. Rear end swap with a 3.50 gear. Rebuilt trans with shift kit. :cool:...
Probably a '70 Maverick with a 5.4 supercharged Cobra motor. Full modern suspension, a/c and heat. And just daily drive the hell out of it.
