so I finally have an exhaust with bungs for my 02 sensors. Gas mileage has improved. However the car won't start when they're plugged in. Starts just fine when They're not. I've also concluded that there no spark during start with them plugged in. there is one loose wire on the same harness as the 02 sensors, think it's tan... But I can't See anything it should plug into. Is the clutch cut out switch on older mustangs one that Just stop it from sparking? Any help is greatly appreciated. Awesome fact for the day. I'm writing this in my own handwriting on a tablet PC given to me for college that converts my writing to text. Even though my handwriting Sucks!
I take it you're running an EFI system? Car should start in open loop (no O2 input) until it gets up to temperature.
Yeah it's efi. My question is why is it not starting with the o2's plugged in. It shouldn't even bother sensing them until it's runnin in closed loop right? so why is it not starting?
i would check the wiring for the heater circuit for the o2s. it probably shorting out the power for the coil or something else
