Lurker that finally registered. Just retired from 34 years as an Assistant County Engineer, then retired from 25+ years of racing dirt late models and dirt modifieds.

With all the retirements, needed a new direction. Just bought an early (August 12, 1969) Maverick. Planning to clone a 1970 Pro Stock. Car is basically rust free, straight and original. Planning on starting with a 380" stroker 351W (still have a lot of race parts around) and then moving towards a Boss 429 transplant down the road.

Currently have a '66 F100, 352, T-5 5 speed tranny, lowered with American 5 spokes on it as my daily driver in the summers.

Also have a '62 unibody that will be getting IFS, lowered, 430 Lincoln/auto, buckets, etc.

My other project is a tube frame '61 Falcon, blown 460/c6, tubbed with M/T 31/16.50x15 on Centerline Auto Drag wheels.

Had to retire, I have things that need played with! Pics of the Maverick to follow. Here's a few of my other toys.

Will be buging you with Maverick questions/problems.

    Nice to be here.

Wow, love your trucks and the falcon. I bet there aren't many of those unibody trucks left. Every one I've seen over the years was rusted out so bad it wasn't restorable. Can't wait to see pics of teh maverick.

    :Welcome:From sunny San Jose.
Look forward to seeing the pictures of the Maverick and of the build.
My Maverick started out as a B/SM NHRA car back in the late 70's and still wears the participant sticker from the 79 Winternationals.
