Greetings, I have a four door sedan 1976 Mercury Comet 250 CID in-line-six engine that I need to sell. Car is Dove Gray (a special order I am told back in 1976! ☺) and has just under 20,000 original miles. Car has a new PA inspection (May) and had new fuel lines and brake lines put on in very recent years. Carbuerator was just rebuilt in May and has some new hoses etc. Vehicle is located in suburbs of Pittsburgh and was garage kept up until about 3 years ago. I am the second owner. There is some areas of minor surface rust and there is some pitting on the chrome bumpers. I have had some minor offers including someone who wanted it for a demo derby but just can't do that!!!! Looking for someone that will appreciate the car for what it is....a classic...a four door yes but a classic just the same. I am looking for some input on the value...I have been told could be worth from $2.8K to $4K but a little skeptical on the higher end value. Any inputs would be greatly appreciated. I would say in todays current economic situation, it would be worth $1500 to $3000 I would say.

The mav is gone but i'm still here!
    That car is clean :)

..... but the rust and it being a 4 door hurts the value.
