1977 Federal Smog

    On my recent purchase the PO has removed some of the smog equipment. The Maverick is originally from Oklahoma so I assume that is a federal emmsions. Can I get informed on what smog equipment came on the car which has a 302. Also a photo would be great too

    on that year a tube on the back side of the engine that ran from one side of the head to the other with a check valve on top. That ran to the cat on the exhaust to the air pump to a hose to the fender wall to take in fresh air to reburn unburned gases. This reduced horse power. epa.
