I went and looked at 2 73 2 door Mavs today. One in decent shape and other had badly smashed in front. Both complete 302, A/C cars. Guy wants $1000 for both. Both had bucket seats with column shift...is this factory? Seats were the same style in both cars. Neither one runs, both been sitting a long time. I need your thoughts...Thanks

Gotta make sure the "good" one is actually "good" enough to spend time and money on.. Gonna cost to move them and get one going.

I would agree ... by the sounds of it, even if both are used as parts cars, it sounds like there is your $1000 right there.

If you are looking at restoring the better one, check the usual stuff, that the cowls don't leak water into the car, etc., solid floors, rust in general.

If they have other goodies like disc brakes, sports mirrors, you are ahead of the game either way.

I forgot to take pics and I dont know how to post anyways. The hood is no good (which I needed for my sprint) front lip rusted, drums on both, hard to see alot because they were packed full of stuff. Definitely lots of parts there. I figured the V8 conversion parts, all the window trim, and bucket seats were worth quite a bit.
