I was thinking about eventually doing a 302 swap, but after hearing how much stuff you have to change I think I've changed my mind. Besides I like working on sixes better anyway. My question is would it be worth it to swap my 200 for a 250? I mean is there really that much of a power difference or power potential for the 250? Also would there be a lot of modifying to put in a 250? Or would it just drop right in and bolt up to everything?

Max, I not sure about everything else, but I believe the bellhouse on the C4 transmission is different.

dave is right...need different bellhousing. but i'd do the swap anyhow. i get 21-22 mpg on my 250. no it isn't as fast as a 302. it doesn't eat like one either. but it can climb any long hill and even accelerate without downshifting. a huge difference from a 200. i love my 250. (i love the 302 better)

you will need the bellhousing from a 250 300 302 or 351 and it would be best if you got a C4 from a 250 302 or 351 because they are stronger tranys than the ones from behind the 170 and 200 , you will need a flexplate from a 300 or a 250 and toque converter (I know I spelled that wrong but all well)
