What is worth saving from a 250 6 cylinder or should I just let it go as a complete motor , I dont figure there is much demand for one. It is decent runner but I dont have room to store it

If someone actually needs a engine, they are a easy sell at $250... If you haven't already, advertise on here & C'list...

For parts the dist, carb and front pulleys/harmonic balancer, someone here was looking for balancer last summer...

With a good number of Maverick enthusiasts keeping their torquey 250 and the growing Ford six performance crowd building unique capable rides, you shouldn't have any trouble finding someone glad to have it if you post it in CL or similar.

I have a collection of small block six's and components donated or sold very reasonably from unaware V8 swappers. Like any car part , if you don't need it it isn't worth much but if you do need it, you will pay 'what it's worth'...

    have fun

I would save the entire motor, but then again, I save everything. :D

Save the exhaust manifold, the carb, the oil pan, and all the pulleys. Those are all things I have sold.

Depending on the casting of the cylinder head those are sought after in the six cylinder crowd. Most popular ones are d8 or E0 castings.
