    Hey guys,
Well, Bullseye has been parked for the last 2 weeks, the kid I bought her off of converted her to a floor shift, and I've had nothing but problems with it from the start, installed backwards, bend rods, and now it just gets stuck in first and the only way to release it is to crawl under it and "un-stick" it. Looks like I'm gonna need a new shift assembly....any suggestions on an affordable one? I plan on a 302 swap next winter so I'm only looking to fix it until then.

Sounds to me like you have a plain old worn out shifter. If it's sticking in gear I would guess that it's less the linkage and more an issue with the shifter itself. You could try to tear it apart, inspect it, grease it and reassemble...but it might be easier just to find another one on Craigslist or E-bay.
