    Good afternoon all.

I have a delima. I am in the process of building a 351w to go into the mav to replace the existing 302. Our mav has what i think is a mustangII front end installed in it and we build a custom oil pan to fit. What i want to know is: Will the 351W block be in the same location as the 302 once it is bolted in place? If so this will save me a lot of trouble when it comes to the oil pan because i can just make a copy of what's on the car without the hassle of r/i ,r/i, r/i, again and again.

    Thanks for any help.

yes, the 302 and 351w are identical as far as pan location. The pans, however, are slightly different.

Another option you might look at is using a pan off of a mid 80s F-150 or full sized Bronco. They have a rear sump oil pan that would probably work for you.
