I am wondering if anyone has put a 351c into a maverick successfully without to much modification. I am still deciding between a 302 or a 351c. There is a guy near me who is selling what he says are the body mounts and headers that are for putting a 351c into a maverick does anyone know if this is something someone made or is it after market? Thanks

You'd use stock factory 302 mounts, and Tubular Automotive headers. Its been done many times. Do a search on this site.

I think in the long run you would be happier with the 302.

You could build a 347 Clevor based on a 302 block that would be both lighter and easier to work on than the Cleveland in these cars. That is, assuming you intend to keep the shock towers. Tubular Automotive has the headers.

I was going to go this route, but with the abundance of great Windsor based heads, I figured the Windsor would be the better and cheaper street engine. Now if you intend to race.........

If the guy has a correct set of Tubular Automotive headers for this swap for sale, they will be 8 separate tubes and 2 collectors I would also highly recommend notching your shock towers if you decide to go with the Cleveland :thumbs2:
