what all modifications must be done to a '71 mav to fit a 351 Windsor? this includes cutting torching, and chassis mods.

    thanks!

Nothing its pretty much a bolt on a go i did my transplant in 3 day just pulled my 302 and dropped in the 351 and new c4

Oh but this is for a 302 if you have a straight 6 im not to sure but i believe you need v8 engine mounts, but there should be no cutting, its just a real tight fit i dont think i can change the spark plugs without unbolting the engine and jacking it up.

Check the archives for shock mount modifications. The 351W will fit but, spark plug changes are going to be tough. If you are going to use headers you will have to fabricate them yourself. There are two things to fix these problems: 1. cut the shock tower mounts back or 2 take the shock towers out completely and and a mustang II front end. I am taking the the mounts out and installing the mustang II. It gives you enough space to put just about any motor you would want. Like I said before check the archives in this forum and both options are in there.
