Post pics when you get it. I had a Summit stage 2 in my cart the other night and did a search on google about them. Found horror story after horror story on em. Mismatched port sizes, bad castings, etc... I was really torn. I wanted to spend the $116.00 they wanted for it, but ended up buying a Weiand Action Plus for $155.00. I know I made a good decision but I'd like to see if the stories were true, bs, or just bad batch.

    Good luck with it.

    What do you have now?
Are you going from 2v to 4v?
    What carb are you using?

A 4v will give you a few more ponies over a 2v, but headers with a 4v really compliment each other better than just the one.

Yeah, I found several folks complaining about the quality of the Summit house brand intakes.
I really want a Stage 2 myself... being as it's a knock-off of the Weiand Stealth.
I keep asking folks at Summit to snap some detailed pics of the intake, but they won't do it. I have asked through their site and through their ebay store. They just keep posting that one very small pic.

My neighbor recently got a Stealth, and let me tell you, the quality of that thing was stellar!
I am a cheapskate, but I keep coming to the conclusion that the kind of quality of the Weiand part is worth the extra dough.

There is one ebay store that puts up the 8020 Stealth fairly regularly with a 138.00 BIN... Then about 30.00 shipping.
That's a Stealth for 168.00 to the door... Not bad if you think about it, or shop around at all.

I have run a Summit stage II intake for the past 5 years and have had absolutely no issues with it. Now with that being said, if I were to do it all over again I would spend a little bit more for my intake and would not have bought Summit brand. Also, don't forget that most Summit brand items are made by a big name company and they just put the Summit name on it.
