Hi there, I have been spending a few months now doing a 1990 5L HO EFI w/ AOD into my Comet.
For the pas few years I have been reading as much as I can and trying to find all the info nessasary to do a swap like this. Figured I had it pretty much under control... How wrong was I.
Seems that there is alot of info that you need that just cannot be found easily.

I would like to have this thread dedicated to this exact project.
It is in the final stages now and I would like to offer my help and advise to anyone who is undertaking this project.

    Things I couldn't find were:
    1. How do you modify the tranny brace to accept the AOD.
    2. Where do you go thru the firewall and where do you mount the computer.
    3. Which sensors are nessasary.
    4. Alternator, belts, power steering.. what to do there.

Please just ask away and I will do my damnedest to help out.

I will keep an eye on this thread as that sounds like a swap I would be interested in for my 72 Maverick.
There is a website that covers all of the Ford EFI stuff that might help but I do not know the exact address. I think it is http://fordfuelinjection.com/
Something similar to that anyway. Pretty smart folks on there as well as here.
    Good luck on your project.
