I am looking to sell a very clean 69 1/2 maverick I bought for my 17 year old son. it has a brand new under dash a/c system from classic auto air in Tampa ($1100.),new exhaust, front brakes, tires, belts, fuel pump, and tune-up all done in last two months. he dosn't like driving a car with no p/s p/b so because he works, he has my car and i've been driving the maverick. I was thinking of changing the tranny to an automatic, but when i posted a thread on the parts wanted board i got a reply from rick who said I should try to sell the car to someone who wants an original maverick rather then modifing the car to be my daily driver. I bought this car about two months ago and paid $2700. on e-bay and have put about $1500. into it since. it has no rust and what looks like the original paint, it has a 170 6cyl and a three speed tranny ( I took the colomn shifter off and put a shifter on the floor) but have all the parts in a box. thanks I figured I'd post here before I put it on ebay. I'm looking to get $3000. Bob ps; e-mail me, i've been having alot of trouble logging onto this site.

    Bob,

Do you have any pictures of the car that you could attach?

I'm sure most of us saw it on ebay. We're all ebay hounds for Maverick stuff. I think a few guys here have an electronic device stuck up their ahum and it sends a 110 volt charge when the word "Maverick" appears on ebay! :D

I sure hope someone buys it and does a total resto on it. That'd be one I'd want to do (if I had the money :( ).

I support your decision to try to sell it, but if by chance someone doesn't buy it, I also support you modifying it 'till your heart's content! :D You can get a lot of technical help here.

    Good luck,

    Rick

Rick... there you go again! I thought I was the only other one that had the electronic device stuck up my ahum and mine sends a 115 volt charge when the word "Maverick" appears on ebay!

Ok I guess the secert's out of the bag now.
