69.5 mav trans tunnel

    i am about to swap my motor and T5 trans from my 72 to my 69.5 mav

    Q's ? ?

    will i have to trim the trans tunnel if so how much ( the t5 is about the same size as the C4 trans )

    know of any thing that might set me back ? :huh:

    Earl will probably chime in to correct me if im wrong but i know when he did his t5 swap they cut out part of the bracing for the crossmember "just for breathing room"... i know on my 70 (which i think is the same) i just had to do a little persuasion on the same bracing with a mini sledge when using "Frank's" Crossmember... Fit great :thumbs2:

    Yes, you will have to trim the bracing across the top of the tunnel. The trans will hit the floor if you do not. Good luck!

    in the pic. you can see where it was notched for clearance...and that's one of my...T-5 crossmembers...('69.5-'70)...:thumbs2:
