There are threads here about installing a progressive 2v carb on I6.
Adds economy and power much like converting a V8 from 2v single stage to 4v which are dual stage.

I don't think a 4v would be easy or that the engine could even use it.

Do a search using progressive and carb as the catch words.
    You should get some info.

yea a 4bbl is definatly over kill on a I6. I have a holley-webber 5200 progressice 2bbl on my 250. it was pretty much bolt on and i really couldnt ask for more for an all-stock engine i can definatly tell the difrence. the 2300 model is also another popular choice. its a non-progressive 2bbl that flows a better cfm so its believed to be more performance oriented. i dont really have any exp with them so i cant comment

check out the forums on fordsix.com too

    good luck
