I was wondering if i needed to new lines for my 72, obviously im doing the drum to disk brake swap.

I also was wondering if the re manufactured master cylinder would work.

I left the steel lines the same on my 73 when I converted to disc's, and left the drum master cylinder, but I did use flex lines from a 74, them seem to have worked.

I used a couple of unions and a couple of pieces of pre flared brake line form the auto parts store and extended mine. That was over a year ago, and the car gets driven pretty much every day.

your steel lines are fine. You will need the new line Dave mentioned. When I did the swap my 70' I got the rubber line from ADVANCE.

So, am I reading this right that the rubber lines for a disc brake equipped '74 will allow you to use the original drum steel lines with absolutely no modifications? :hmmm:

My car is a 70....the disc brakes came from a 74' I went to advance and picked up brake line.....screwed them on, bled the brakes and have been this way for more than 2 years. I did this so I know there was NO MODIFICATIONS! :thumbs2:

This is just like the headers I run on my car....there are folks on here that say they do not fit on a maverick.....but yet I have them on my car :hmmm: Not always is the always right people right :Handshake

They did for me. I unscrewed the flex lines for the drums, swapped the spindles, installed the the rotor, caliper, flex line, bled the brakes, and I was done. I drove the car for awhile like that, that was before I tore it down to paint. Plus when I ordered the new stainless brake like, I ordered the drum lines, they were the same.
This is the only picture I can find, it's from when I was tearing everything down.
