Hi everybody,Im putting my 72 back together and im have a problem with the the steering column.I took everything apart on the steering column and now that i want to put it back together i can't.The steering column is a 3 on the tree.Here is my question.There is a tube inside the steering column that im able to pull most of the way out.That tube is what my shifter slides into.If i pull the tube out as far as it will go,it spins around but when i push it back down,The tube has to be rotated a certain way inorder to lock into place.When i put the shifter lever in and try to move it up and dowjn,it will not turn.So i looked in the engine compartment and down at the shifter levers.Do the shifter lever have to be in a certain postion in order for the tube to make contact?if this does not make any sense please call me and help me out of you would so kind.i really need to get this together.my cell number is 1-614-580-0951 and my name is mark.thanks
