Looking to rebuild steering on car.....idler, center link, tie rods, etc. Also have massively leaking control valve and power cylinder. Where are all the cool kids buying their parts?
Welcome to the forum. Several sources to acquire parts for these cars. Check the vendor source for a listing. To name a few: Autokrafters. com, Rock Auto.com, Dennis Carpenter.com and many of the big box local suppliers depending on what your looking for. Control valave/power cylinder can be rebuilt by vendors, by you, or acquired by vendors like Autokrafters. I don't know what mechanical abilities are, but, if replacing springs -- use extreme caution.
One can remove all of the power steering components and send them to Rode's Restorations in Galion, Ohio (google it) and they can rebuild all your parts and ship them back to you better than new.
That was my thinking so I called Autokrafters, seems they dont stock idler arms for a 74, they seem to be different than other years.
You'll need the bushing that presses into steering linkage as well. https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog...id+v8,1132210,steering,idler+arm+bushing,7332 There are three different linkage/arm setups. 70/72, 73/74 & 75/77
