Hey folks! So in my reading through the boards, I've noticed that '75 seems to be (by far) the least mentioned year for mavericks. Is there any particular reason for this? Or is it just a fluke?
While it is a fact the earlier (small bumper) cars are more popular, there is nothing wrong with a 74-77 model. Less of them, so they get discussed less too.
Another factor is production numbers .... they made a LOT more earlier cars. In the later years, Mavs and Comets were competing against Granadas and Monarchs on the same car lots.
I,m a big bumper boy, all i have ever owned is '74 or ,75 (currently a '75). it is hard to find the big bumps up in my aria, lots of salt on the roads lots of rust on the cars. and it seams that ford started using cheaper steel in the mid '70s so they rusted faster (just an opinion not a fact) my '74 witch my mom bought new, by 1980 when i got it was a rust bucket. The one i have now it took me 1 1/2 years to find one in good shape, inside and out. Just got lucky with it kinda fell in my lap
