    finished up today...a few pics.

    :bouncy:rear manual disc. brakes...

    stock...porp. valve
    stock...disc/drum m/c.

    parts...'96 Linc.town car...rotors...brackets and cali...(small bearing)

    ...'96 exploer...rubber brake lines (2 pass. side p# H380528)

... shim for bearing spacer...200/1000th (non/e-brake) 250/1000th (w/e-brake)... install new housing seal, spacer then axle shaft.
    shims...2.75 OD...2.25 ID...

note...i left the old seal in and put my new housing seal (p# 9569s) behind it....reason...there was room.(same seal)
E-brake...i wanted the...clean look...it is a matter of leaving it on or cutting the ...2 rivets... that hold it on, off.

redrilled holes...it was mentioned that the bottom bolt had interference with the leaf springs. i used the ...dust shield for the e-brake for a template and clocked the bolt holes... beside the stock holes...make sure you are raising the bracket with the new holes...

    tool list...
    9/16" deepwell socket/or short ext.(removing axle plate)
    hand wrenches... 10 mm(cali. bolts)...line wrenches...BFH :D

hacksaw and hand drill/ 3/8" bit and center punch(if redrilling holes) and trimming bracket.

a lift made it nice but jackstands will do fine...be safe...the trans. will be ...out of gear...(so you can turn axel to remove bolts).

on a 1-10 scale w/10 being hardest it is about a 3 :yup:

    thanks...
...has a ...softer pedal...has more of a sit down feeling rather than the pitch foward feeling...when braking.

It would be awesome if you could write a parts list, maybe even a tech article.

I asked Frank yesterday what he was using for a parking brake. He said, "Park."
