I have a couple questions for the A/C guys.

I have a late model (fox) a/c compressor since I went serp. What I want to know is.

Can I run the fox a/c hoses to complete my setup?
Do I have to run the fox body (late model) drier?
Do I have to run the fox (late model) condenser?

Or can I use the stock 74 Maverick condenser and drier with the fox (late model) hoses?

I hope this makes sense. It's 11:50pm and I just spent the last 5 hours of my life under my mav re-installing the transmission after replacing all the seals, and this A/C question popped into my mind as I'm getting ever so close to being able to actually drive the car instead of just working on it.

    Thanks guys

You can use a late model compressor with your original parts. You might have to have hoses made to adapt the 2 systems together.

2 different A/C systems. Freon in the the stock Mav. was R-12 (no longer available) and R-134a with the late model A/C system. If it were mine I would use all the late model (or fox as you call it) parts I could use. If the compressor/condenser/hoses can be modified to fit, use them. The drier should be replaced not reused. Also the R-12 expansion valve will need to be replaced with a R-134a valve. Flush the condenser, hoses and the Mav.s evaporator with some A/C system flush you can buy at your local parts store. This will remove contaminates and the old compressor oil. After a good cleaning of the hoses/condenser/evaporator, keep all the open pieces of the system capped off or tapped up.

You don't have to use the (fox) parts but you will have to customize all your hoses to fit, (this can get expensive) replace the drier, and expansion valve.

Dont forget to use the proper amount of PAG oil in your system once its all together.Pour it in the compressor before you close it all up and spin the rotor a couple of revolutions by hand to spread it through the compressor.Use the pag if you go R-134/esther cool if you stay with the mucho expensive R-12.
