Once 4-5 years ago, before I knew about this forum, I was looking for parts for my '71 Comet. I thought that maybe some parts from a Mustang might work in my Comet. I went to a place with a bunch of Mustang parts and asked if the backseats would work in my car. The guy that attended me was extremely unfriendly and said 'NO. We don't have anything for that type of car here.' He was super uninterested in my car .
maybe if I had a musgt would be different.
well I'm so glad this forum exists! Everyone is so friendly and helpful and I appreciate it every day!:burnout:

Dont know about you but I dont need a Mustang to get attention. A Mav up here gets a ton more attention than a Mustang. Maybe not at shows but try and drive down the street. Dont get me wrong I like certain Stangs and would love to have one. Like a 428 4 spd drag pac car. Its just not in the budget. Besides I like to be different and love my Mav.

Oops my bad. Sorry. Ah never mind your moments up. Truth be known I actually prefer the look of a small bumper Comet over the Mav. You happy now.:yup:

I should have said a Mav or a COMET gets more attention up here.

I have always liked our cars. We have had a Comet in the family since around 74. I have fun memories of driving it to school and getting into races going around the school campus. I won quite a few times and that's how I actualy got recognition in school, cause of the car. Now the old timers in town know me cause of the Comet...

I'm a Comet guy through and through, I would love to have a clean small bumper Comet. But, somehow I ended up with 9 Mavericks and 0 Comets. Damn the luck.

    It's a long list still.
I need to finish putting the rear brakes on that I started. (one side is not complete)
I need to remove the pass side door and begin the body work, including a second profile hood (L88 scoop). I have two...one being factory scoop (GT).
    That leads to the paint.
Then put all the doors, chrome, vinyl top, bumpers, interior etc...
So basicly I guess the only thing that is done is the motor and drive line.
I hope to have it in primer this summer, we'll see.

Some of my problems are that things are rotting and getting old before I get to use them. I have 12 year old brand new BFGs up front, 50's! :(. I had new engine/trans seals etc... I just hope I don't have too many leaks once I get to actualy drive it. So many mods I don't know which will not actualy work if any lol.
