I am looking for feedback from anyone who has bought and used an aftermarket hood. I may have to purchase one due to rust and general issues with my hood. There are 3 or 4 different vendors selling steel grabber hoods but I wonder if they are all from the same distributor or made by same people. Then there is the carbon fiber and fiberglass versions available.
Any information on either would be much appreciated.

Only one manufacturer of the grabber hoods. The steel hoods are fantastic quality and well worth the money.

While searching and reading, it seems that a couple people on here have had good results with the dyna hoods but if you go with the scoop hood, you'll need to purchase their scoops as well as the original wont fit as well.
I'll continue to search for a good used one, just hate to spend 800+ on an aftermarket that may or may not fit well. That remark only comes from reviews read from others who have had bad experiences with dyna parts, not just our hoods.

I have heard only good things about their hoods. Also I know several people who have used the factory scoops with out issues? Honestly unless you find a very nice condition hood at a reasonable price I would just go with their hood.

I appreciate the feedback. I have a few feelers out searching but as you say. It's probably a more feasible option.
