My carb is off center for my hood and scoop. So my hood can't shut properly. Does anyone have some suggestions in order to fix this? I'd appreciate it thanks guys!

Huh???? Six cylinder carbs are not in the center of the engine compartment ... however, why in the world would your hood not be able to shut?

Please post a picture ... I would like to see what a 340HP 6 cylinder looks like! :)

dont ask me...I even had a scoop on it to add more room. The one I had now is 14" long and I'm not sure how high because it's raining out right now. As for the engine thats what it was measured at drag racing. I have not measure it personally. It is a rebuilt engine.

Does it have a 1bbl carb or modified for a 2bbl? Is it a six cylinder like you state in your profile? Is it the factory air cleaner? I think Scott Drake does make an aftermarket chrome breather for 1bbl engines but it's like 80 bucks and should still fit under your hood ...

If you can figure out how to get 340HP out of a
six banger you can figure this hood clearance
    issue out.

The 6 cyl carb uses a drop base air cleaner. There's no way anything else will fit. Best thing to do is use the original air filter housing and cut it down so its the same size as the air cleaner. Then the whole filter is exposed. You might even find a K&N filter the same size as your original.

hey buddy if your not going to help why do you even bother posting? I bought the car I didn't do any engine work to it yet. I love people that go around in forums trying to make feel feel retarded doesn't work pal.
