ive ran a alum drive shaft in my old fox mustang. it made a noticeable difference on the freeway for acceleration. i will probly put one in the mav sometime down the road. apparently the ones for the fox mustangs fit in the mav if you change the yoke. ive ran all kinds of different ratios in my mav. ive ran 3.25s with a 28" tall tires and thats a great all around ratio. you can go freeway speeds and keep it below 3000 rpm and still gets up and goes pretty well from a stop.

I've never ran one in a Maverick, however I have owned cars that had the aluminum shaft as stock equipment. They worked like a driveshaft should.;)
