Well Guys its been nice being here, but as you can see in the pics my Mav is done. If anyone is interested in the door panels or the trunk lid let me know. I also have stock chrome bumpers from the front, Fiberglass bumpers for the front and rear, and a front rocker panel in fiberglass that we will not be needing now....I'll post more details later..Peace

Well the Mav was torched tonight. I got it to start it, and it started right up and then caught fire. I think it was a leaky fuel line or something. I am ok, but the car is totaled. Looks like I will be going back to the world of 4 bangers....no more V8 power for me....I was in the car when this started.....

    Oh man.
I don't know what to say except I'm glad you got out and weren't hurt.
I'm so sorry for your loss.
That's the most horrible thing I've seen for some time.
    Insurance I hope?

Well I don't think the car INSurance will cover it cause it was liability i beleive...but my friends said homeowners will cause it was on our property...I hope something will cover it so I can get another toy car....

Man, I'm really sorry to hear about your car, especially since you just got done with all that work. I'm also building a 71 Grabber... What condition is the front chrome bumper in? Mine is pretty tweaked.

man, i sure hate to see that. what brand are the fiberglass bumpers? hate to seem like i want to take advantage of someones misfortune, but i was thinking earlier tonight about getting some. let me know what you want for them. again i'm really sorry. when i looked at the pictures i thought that it reminded me of mine. same steering wheel, b&m shifter, etc. good luck, i hope the insurance will help out.:(

    Mav Loss

Too bad there isn't something set up for the MCCI club to put optional money into, to help out members who have things like this happen to them , sort of a disaster fund . Thats how a lot of insurance brotherhoods get started.
