I have a newer 5.0 with the origional C4 going into my 71 Grabber.Which had the 250 I6 in it. I have a 157 tooth flexplate with 50 ounce imbalance. Now my question. The older single wire starters have a 9 tooth drive gear and the newer 2 wire starters have a 10 tooth output drive gear. Which starter is correct or doesn"t it make a difference? I started this project 8 years ago so I am trying to remember the things that I have read back then. I appreciate the help.
