hi, i recently purchased a 73 comet, it's got the basic interior with the bench seat. I have an atomatick trans atatched to a 250, i was wondering if i could install a floor shift to the floor in my car. it sais that you should have buckets to put them in, but it looks like from setting in the drivers seat it could be done. thanks

i dont see why not, i had a three speed that had a floor shifter put in the same place as an auto floor shifter. even with the longer shift arm and a bend back, it still cleared the bench.

I 've seen pictures a long time ago where someone did that. Worst thing you'll have to do is move it foward a little and shorten the linkage.

Big...if you use a cable shifter, you can put it anywhere you need to.
