Automatic floor shifter question

    72 Maverick Grabber #s matching 302, C-4 auto, A/C, tinted windows, P/S, Dark green/lime green stripes.
    Can anyone clarify if a 72 with floor shift has a 2nd rod up to the column to activate the reverse lights and neutral safety switch, if so is it the same rod as a column shift. Did an have the switches on the floor shifter.

    Most Mavericks ive dealt with has the switch on the trans, My 74 has a factory floor shift, but no second rod.

    1972 Maverick Grabber - Color: Orange Also, 1976 Ford Maverick 4-door, 1977 Mercury Comet 2-door.
    Yes...there is a rod that goes to the column. It is not for any switch....it is for the locking steering column.

    The neutral safety switch is on the tranny when it is a factory floor shift.

    I don't think it is the same rod as a column shift car.
