Your gonna get a 100 different opinions on this one.:D

I like Holleys but thats because I am used to tinkering with them. The Edelbrocks seem to run good right out of the box from what I have heard though.

Bigger question is what manifold you are going to use and is your car a automatic or manual? How are you going to use the car and what mods you plan in the near future as well.

I used an Edelbrock simply because I got it cheap. Turns out lucky I did because I wanted to use the factory air cleaner. From what I have heard the factory air cleaner housing will not fit on a Holley ... I think Demons are all the rage now ...

    have a manual transmision.
The mods... i donĀ“t want to make too much mods to the motor.

what manifold i have to buy? i want a power machine, but for a good reasonable fuel cuote..., i dont wanna to spend all my money in fuel. :)

    thanks again. :)

Without putting together a carb/intake/heads/exhaust package it really doesn't make much sense to swap out just the carb. What's wrong with your factory 2-bbl?

If you want to keep it cheap, find yourself an old used manifold like a performer. Ebay is probably full of them or local swap meets. That and a decent 600 cfm will give you a noticable difference although like Dan said, its really a combination of things that give you the best results.

I bought a 600 Holley and it ran great right out of the box. My dad put an Edelbrock 600 on his panel trucks mill and it ran great right out of the box. :D IMO you cant go wrong with either carb. I would find the cheapest one and go with it and/or find the one that your neighbor/buddy is good at tuning and go with it :D

    the exahaust is done.

i have a 2bbl holley, but now start to lose fuel from the "front down"... i need a new one, that is the cuestion...

    maybe, y buy a edelbrock carb/intake.
Edelbrock is more friend to my wallet. :)
600 Dls for a good carb and a intake manifold.
