83 lincoln mark8 engine swapping into maverick.question of the day is......

how do i bipass the air/smog pump?

blocking off any tubing exhaust etc. or do i just take the belt off there's one belt on this engine that runs from the crank to the a/c(dont want a/c either) and air pump and the second belt to everything else. its throttle body injection would this make the engine run like crap if i just bipassed (cut off belt) it or is there a process i need to follow thanks

Got a picture of it? Is it serpentine? Are you going to keep the TBI or go carbed? When i removed my air pump i unbolted it from the block with all the attaching hoses and belt.
