I'm going to Knoxville tomorrow to pick up a '76 Maverick I've bought. I've e-mailed the seller of this Grabber to find out where the car is located. I plan to give it the once over.
No, but it looks that way. Actally, I'm buying this '76 to save myself some steps on restoring the '74. I only want three. One for my daughter, a hot street/strip Mav for myself, and an all out drag car. Needles to say, I'm going to eventually have a lot of parts for sale or even a complete car.
Minor surface rust? Is the seller serious about the "only minor surface rust". The car is not impossible to fix up put it certainly is not one for a beginner. I'd take it for the right price if I had room, but my stable is full.
LOL .... $202 and his reserve ain't met yet?? Don't think it's worth more than that ... Not sure if there is a usable part on the car ...
That car's VIN is 7400 away from mine ... must have been built within a couple of days of mine ... January, 1971 ..
I sent the guy three e-mails telling him I was going to be in Knoxville today and wanted to see the car. He never replied. BTW, Dan, I did get a '76 Mav today with everything from the firewall forward in great shape and rest is very questionable. However, with it and my '74 Grabber, my daughter is going to have a '74 Grabber, 250 ci, C-4, power disc brakes, power steering, and factory air. I've paid $1,000 for both. So far, so good.
