hello all. i am in the middle of swapping the master cyclder and install a booster on my 77 mave. my maverick already has disc brakes. when i install the booster from an another 77 maverick on to my car do i need to change out the spindles and so on. I need help. my dad said all i need to do is to just add the booster and all would be good. but I am not to sure... need you guys advise. Thanks night
Thanks that does help alot my father in law was telling me that i would have to change it all over but I did not think i had to since they both have the same setup on just has manuel disc and the other had power disc. thanks again night
The factory brake booster is a bulky unit with a unique tower brace. Look around classic Mustang and Falcon sites online... There is a swap that works on Mavs as well that uses a Geo brake booster. It is bolt in and very compact. Looks much better, IMO, than the stock unit... and leaves you with room to work if you need to get into that area. Also, no special tower brace. If you do a stock swap, you must get the right tower brace. YOU DO NOT WANT TO OPERATE YOUR CAR WITHOUT A TOWER BRACE. Good luck Dave
