Here's a picture of the seat brackets I found, it took me just about 8 months to find them and I paid way to much.

    Looks correct to me...

They look just like my brackets that I just primed and sealed.
Mine are from a '74. I assume that they are all the same.

Am I correct in thinking that you could just get the brackets off of two bench seats at a salvage yard and it would work the same. I think someone said something like that a long time ago.

The spacers on the studs should go towards the tunnel side of the floor & they are unique to the Maverick/Comet. Without these spacers the seatswill tilt towards the inside of the car. When using non factory buckets without the rails, you have to build your own spacers. The bench seat rails are not interchangeable with the buckets. Hope this helps.

I remember reading that a guy used 2 sets of bench seat rails for a set of buckets. You would have to make your own spacers cause I believe bench rails are lower than buckets, but it should still work. Probably closer than any other rail you try.

I just completed this swap from a bench to factory buckets. The bench seat rails not only don't line up for mounting to the seat, but the heighth is different. You can make anything work, but these are far from a bolt in. Hope this helps.

I purchased some bucket seats and the brackets were removed for shipping. Which side of the seat should get the lever for moving the seat forward and back?? Thanks ...

I believe the drivers side is on the inside & the passenger side is towards the outside. I'm a little unsure, but I can check my car tonight, if someone hasn't posted the correct answer by then.

Okay, I checked my buckets last night & I was wrong. Both adjustment levers will be on the left side of each bucket.

I tried to use the bench seat brackets, they are not even close. Don't bother, you can fabricate something easier.
