I am doing an bucket install on a 72 Grabber with no convertor and am replacing a bench seat.
I have read severaL threads where there were issues with the installation of bucket seats from a catalytic convertor car.

Were the bolt paterns the same or different?
Was this an issue on both sides or just the passenger side?
    Where exaclty was the interference?

its just on the inside of the passenger side seat that would have been the issue. the cat cars have a big bubble in the floor pan and they need the seat tracks for a cat car to work

Yeah, I actually found some more info in various threads. It seems that the bottom seat is constructed differently also. I will continue to look here locally for some early buckets. My bench seat is going to be an issue recovering it as the springs and wires are not in good shape.
