They probably were taken off because there is no room for them, if THOSE tires are used on THAT car.

Tell you what, since the car is so miserable to drive, just ship it on over to me, I think I could live without the bump stops :D

Seriously, though, you could get replacements from AutoKrafters, or similar catalogs, but I doubt they will fit. Someone has done some serious modifications to that car, and they cut them out for a reason.

ON the front, they are mounted on a panel that bolts around the coil spring, up under the fender. They were designed to hit the top A arm directly on top of the upper ball joint. Since you no longer have the factory set up, you will have to fabricate your own. The rear is like Dave said, mounted on the outside of the frame, directly above the axle tube.

Everybody see that front suspension he has on there? I want one of those :evilsmile

Where did this car come from, and who did the modifications?

This isn't a street car, is it? It has been built for some serious driving...not the kind of driving that involves pot holes.

    Hi sierra grabber,
I am in the midlands < leicester> there is only 2 maverick grabbers in the uk,
what is happening is the chassis at the front is bottoming out and can not see where bump stop should go.
I understand it was removed for tyre clearance.

your pics are great and the car looks very nice, but could you tak a pic of behind the front tire where the a arm assembly comes up? this may help someone to make a better suggestion of where to mount one. the stock bump stop works as mavaholic suggests, if there is a tube welded above the a arm you may be able to drill a hole there and bolt a bump stop on.good luck

The most important question not asked or answered so far is.....

Where is the point of contact when it bottoms out? Are there other points where you are noticing wear / rub marks on the suspension or frame? Are you sure that you are not running into coil bind with the front springs? From the pictures, the springs are fairly close to maximum compression when sitting at normal ride hight.

If you are running into coil bind, you may need to look at diferrent front coilover springs/shocks or you may need to re-evaluate the upper mount point location.

I can't tell from the pictures but you may be running into the lower control arm hitting the bottom of the frame. Can you check for witness marks there as well?
