I have a 65 comet and i'm putting the c4 back into it but the cooler lines are broken. They were broken and the trans was out when I bought the car, the guy also told me I needed to get some brass fittings for the cooler lines but i can't find the part or mention of it anywhere. Was the guy lying to me and what do i need to make the cooler lines?

if you are talking about the two fittings on the side of the trans, they are a royal PITA to find. i ended up using summit AN fittings and steel braided line to come from the trans out to the regular steel line instead as none of the parts stores even seemed to know what i was talking about :(

The transmission sooler line fittings are 1/8" Straight pipe thread with o-ring seal. You can find them at most transmission supply / parts stores. The lines are 5/16" steel lines like the fuel lines you can buy in parts stores in various lengths. You can bend them yourself with a little care and forethought.
You can also use 1/8" taper pipe fittings with a 5/16" inverted flare to go into the transmission. You will have to use a good sealer like teflon tape or loc-tite 518 on the threads if you use the taper pipe fittings. The fittings should be 90 elbows - the rear fitting faces forward and the front fitting faces rearward.

I used the tapered pipe threaded fittings like PaulS said. Working fine so far...
