Just got a B and M shift kit from Summit, was wondering if anybody is using one? Not many pieces for the money. I was thinking of using the stage 1 kit they call it heavy duty and towing since the car is a cruiser and didn`t want it too jerky. Would appreciate any imput. Also it looks like it should be fairly easy to install. THANKS!

Don't use a kit that does away with the plate between the valve body and and base. it causes a lot of leaks and problems
There is a home made kit around the net that is supposed to work very well.
Might be what scooper77515 is talking about

The homemade kit I use just drilled out a couple of the holes in that plate, but didn't do away with it.

A lot of people have had problems with the B&M kits for the C4.
I learned a long time ago that they were not dependable.
I always recommend the TransGo kit. It is expensive but always does a great job and you have a few different options with it too. It comes close to what I do with my valve bodies whenI build them. I would take the un-opened B&M kit back and get the TransGo kit. 40-2 for 70 and later and the 47-2 kit for the 67-69 C4s.
They are worth the difference in price.

We have the Trans -go in our c-4. Smooth shifting until your foots in it and then she barks. Good choice! Have had 0 problems.

Not a shift kit... Most folks dont have a mill to modify the channel casting so my mods won't help many people.
The kit that I am making (and selling - shipping) will be to get rid of the 2-3 shift flare that some folks experience when they make there own mods or buy kits from some of the aftermarket builders. I have the kits ready and the instructions printed but I need to get pictures of the process to make it easy for anyone to install.
Once I get the pictures taken care of I will be sending out emails to those who have emailed me their contact information to place an order. The orders will ship within one business day once I receive payment. I should have it all taken care of by this time next week.
