Is there any 4 speed auto transmissions out there that are mechanically driven, not electric, that are compatible to put in my 76 with a 250 I6? Its column shift so my main concern is the throw length and how if will effect mpg/power output

is there a model directly compatible with the 250 or would the torque converter need to be swapped? also does the throw length on the column match up?

there are many posts on this topic... I found this to be the best way to find them.
type this in a google search bar:
    site:mmb.maverick.to AOD swap
basically...type site:mmb.maverick.to followed by any topic you want.
It works better than the search on ANY froum.
