Im not sure how many of you have cruised the OldHippie.com forums, or are on the nostalgia pro stock group on facebook, but there have been a lot of pics of Pro Stock mavericks on there, some big names, and some that were out of pocket local cars, was wondering how many cars are owned by members of this board, and pics of then and now, no matter what condition they are in. It would be nice to get all these on one topic and make it a Sticky post, since the Maverick Pro Stock, then the SM class were the forefront of Mavericks in Drag racing. Im thinking Joe Spinelli's Super Stock magazine Arlen Fadley car is the most famous car that is owned by someone on this group, but maybe and hopefully not. The Dyno Don Maverick still original. and The Eddie Schartman car, and the Sandy Elliot/Barry Poole car seem to be the only famous pro stock cars to still exist, but maybe there are more Duane
I know there are a few B/SM cars here on the forum. Mine was built in 1979 (late in the B/SM time line) and raced until 1981 when SM was ended. Although it's drivetrain is different, most everything else is the same. I've been on the Old Hippie site and since I really don't go on facebook much I haven't seen the Pro Stock group. I have posted then and now pictures of my car, but when I get the interior done I'll post more. I thought the Fast Eddie car was just recently sold at one of the big auctions, but could be wrong.
Oldrodder you could be right about the Fast Eddie car, I used to communicate with him but it has been a few years.
