can i use the stock mustang aod automatic set up

    i swap a 91 mustang 5.0 motor and aod trans into my maverick my ? is can i use the 91 mustang automatic on the floor set up with my swap and has anybody did it yet...

    3D Maverick (all years), 2009 Ford Ranger XLT 4x4.
    I don't see why not. Might have to fabricate/alter the linkage a bit.. but it should work.

    I put an AOD in my last Maverick, but it was a column shift... what a pain in the butt it was to try and figure out how to get the linkage to work!! With the headers in the way and the link-arm in a little different area, I opted for a cable instead of the stock linkage.

    ok cool yea i had to cut the header tube and bend it away from linkage a few inches
