Recently replaced the 2-barrel & manifold on my 75 Mav for a new 4-Barrel Holley and Weiend. Started it up today. Needs timing, but here's my question; what would cause the fuel to spew out of the vent holes located above the bowls? I thought these basically came with factory specs with no initial adjustments required. Thanks:confused:

    I've had a few
Float sticking? I accidentally drove my car 3 miles to school and back once with NO needle in the carb. Car ran like crap and was spewing gas out the vent...

I'll bet it's got something to do with the needle/float.

    Float adjustment or float sticking.
Too high fuel line pressure can do it too.
Trash stuck in the needle maybe.
