Just wanted to see if there was enough interest here... If I were selling an aftermarket steering wheel package including a choice of 2 wheels, the full installation kit and a choice of horn buttons- for under $100 bucks INCLUDING the shipping anywhere within the US, would there be any takers here in the forums?

I already move them well enough on Ebay (for other makes/models)...for substantially more... but for my fellow maverick flakes, I was thinking that under 100 would be cool. I dunno- just looking for input.

The black wheel is pictured, but there is also a chrome one as well (pic of it in my images folder)

13.5" diameter with other sizes available too.

I would go for a wood one if you could swing it with the same grip thickness as the black one shown.

Hey MavMan- I CAN do a wood grip wheel with the same grip thickness, in black spoke or chrome. (y) The Wood wheels are a bit more, however. The black wheel with your choice of horn, the installation kit and shipping would total $120. The same pkg. with the chrome would be $150.

The chrome version is available now- the black version is actuall being manufactured as we speak and will be available very, very soon.

    pics below of both versions.

Bowstick --> pm sent, but other than the wood wheels- all the wheel combos will be $95 even. That includes either wheel (black spoke or chrome), your choice of horn button (yes its functional), the installation kit and the shipping.

Do you have any with slots rather than holes in the spokes?
I see them often for sale as Chevy parts...

    Sounds like a great price!

I do havethem with slots... butI didn't include them here for 2 reasons- they are 15" diameter only (which I think is kind of big in the Mav) and they are slightly more expensive (and I really wanted to keep the total with the shipping under 100)... but i CAN put together a slotted wheel pkg for you as well (in black, chrome and with black grip or wood)- just pm me if you want to work it out.

    Thanks!

    :yup:

Yes- the stock Mav wheel is a 15" wheel... but maybe its because I always build race cars (or maybe its because I'm a 290lb. strength trainer of many years with the added benefit of a 'married w/kids gut, lmao), a slightly smaller diameter wheel is much easier to wrestle with in either a cramped drag car cockpit, or that of a road racer. Getting into a maverick with a 12 point cage AND a 15" wheel would be a feat indeed, at least for me. lol :)

Again, I'm thinking its because of years of building/driving street/strip race cars, but I never have cause to look at the stock gauge cluster and when I do happen to, peeking either a bit over or under a smaller wheel hasn't proved to be a deal breaker for me, anyway. Just mho.

That being said- I DO have 15" diameter wheels too. Another reason I avoided listing them is that bigger is always more $$ and I wanted to keep the total cost down under 100 bucks. I sell those 15" wood grip wheel packages on Ebay for $179 + $19 shipping all day long- but thats there among the wolves and this is here among friends. ;)

    Sure. :)

As far as your money goes and the devaluation of the dollar...its true- mark my words: this administration has been setting the stage for some time now, the "North American Union" is only a matter of time... "eh". ;)

I sell a lot of performance parts to racers in Australia... THEIR dollar is even worse, they call it the "Pacific Peso". lol.

If you want a wheel, you can PM me and we'll set it up. I *think* I should probably make another post in the "Parts for Sale" section as this thread (not that I'm complaining!!) has moved into order taking territory more than purely feedback/info. Which is ALL GOOD by me!
