Hi all, just thought you might want to hear this one. My son came home yesterday from the evening school pep-rally and when he walked in the door said these exact words: "Hey dad, I really love my car, it's a real chick magnet." Ummmm....this is good....this is also the most words he has strung together in my presence in a long time. Just something to know that there are 16 yr olds that like these cars, albeit for different reasons.
Heh heh! We used to call my brother's old Mav the "Babe Magnet" as a type of joke. It was a two door 73 with PS and an auto. It was a type of Avocado green inside and out. Not many people, let alone girls, up here are very interested in cars, especially old ones like my Mav. I need to post some pics of my car soon. Tell him to watch out; pretty soon he'll be beating thousands of those "chicks" off with a stick. -Corbin
Just to add the female point of view, my 73 mav is a man magnet. Especially when I'm pumping my gas. =0)
Jerilyn, I guess you are right. If I seen gal pumping gas in Maverick it would get my attention! I would have to take a second look!
there are 16 yr olds that like these cars Yeah, although not as large as some older cars, the back seat is larger than what's in a lot of ricers, Mustangs, etc.
being a 16 year old I think I can add a little perspective to this. Seems like most people my age think that old cars are awesome just most don't know enough about cars or have parents that want them to own one.
gotta love the chick magnets.... i would love to see some women at the gas pump with a maverick....easiest pickup ever!!!! i've actually had a girl kiss the car before.(different experience) ahhh life, love, and the cars that bring it! heres a pic of mine! bye.
I once had a girl riding shot gun in a Camaro compliment my 77. The best part was the look on her boyfriends face.
