I stopped to see a buddy of mine today who promised me some pics of his '73 Comet GT he owned when we were in high school together. Dave Boyer's '73 Grabber got me to thinking about his car. They are the same color green.
Todd was a year ahead of me in high school. He graduated in '85 and I believe he sold this car around '86 to buy a new GT Mustang. The kid that he sold it to pulled out in front of someone and totalled it within a few weeks of the purchase.

After Todd graduated he had it repainted and rebuilt the motor-that is how it appears in these pics. Note the custom GT stripes. I believe the stripes were painted on by the body shop and then a sign painter filled in the lettering on the back, Probably Mr. Tommy McCorkle. We all had something painted on the back of our cars back then by McCorkle.
The car was an original 302 A/T car with avocado interior. Early '73 with the package tray. He didn't have pics of the inside.

I say we all had something on the back...there were 5 Comet GT's in our high school parking lot at the end of 1984. Only 1 Grabber Maverick!

Todd also owned this car later, one of the other 5 GT's that were in the parking lot. A '72 GT shown here without it's factory silver stripes. It had been repainted after a slight racing accident. The inspection sticker in these pics expired in Jan '89, so these must have been around Christmas of '88. An original black on black GT, 302 A/T.
This car is still around. I have posted pics of it before as I have tried to buy it a couple of times.

Man I"ll bet he wishes he had them two back! The green one is a great color and with the Americans it's just a great looking combination,And of couse I'm really partial to black and Cragars as I had a '71 black Grabber when almost new with Cragars and I'm cloneing my '70 to look just like it.Thanks for the pic.s!
