Hello fellow Maverick brothers. I recently picked up a '72 4-door Maverick with a 302, with 42k original miles. I got an edelbrock mdl 2121 intake manifold and holley 4-barrel, 600 cfm carb. to put on it sometime next week. I want to do headers next and I'm wondering what suggestions you might have or what brand won't fit or what is best to put on and any problems associated with installing headers or the intake/carb combo.

Myself and quite a few others are running Hooker 6901's. Others are running Hedman 88300's. Both companies offer coated headers but if you want to go that route, I suggest you call Jet Hot and get a quote for a set of headers with their coating.

i also have the hooker 6901 headers but mine are coated from hooker. i'm real happy with them, but i don't run it on the street. also have the edelbrock performer heads. no problems. if you have power steering you might need the drop down adapter, and if you have a column shifter you may have to move it to the floor. somebody else may be able to tell you if they've done it w/o the changes.:)
